Job description
Protocol Education are working with an alternative provision based within Kingston Upon Thames, who are seeking higher level learning support assistant to work with pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as manage a team of LSA's. The pupils who need support range across Primary age and Secondary ages so it is vital that you have experience supporting pupils who have challenging behaviour and autism. The role is one which varies on a daily basis and is a great step up if you have been working as a learning support assistant for a while and you are seeking a new challenge. Based within the Kingston area, the establishment has great public transport links.

The role:
• 5 days a week, term time only
• 8:30-4:00pm
• Based in the Borough of Kingston
• Working 1:1 with pupils who have challenging behaviour
• Managing a team of LSA's with how to improve their SEND practices
• Working immediately until Summer 2019

You must have:
• Experience of working with PECs or Makaton
• At least 2 years of working with autism and challenging behaviour
• You must be confident with the SEN code of practice
• Be experienced in EHCP's
• Experience of supporting pupils of a Primary or Secondary aged
• At least one qualification in education
