Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Redhill

take the lead, support learning and make a real difference to pupils every day?

We’re working with a welcoming school in Redhill that is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. You’ll be stepping into a supportive environment where your skills, ideas and experience will be valued.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with pupils, leading small-group activities and supporting teaching and learning across the classroom.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting pupils with their learning in the classroom
  • Delivering planned lessons and activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes
  • Providing classroom cover when required
  • Leading targeted interventions and helping pupils make progress
  • Working closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning activities
  • Adapting learning to meet a range of needs and abilities
  • Supporting positive behaviour and creating clear, consistent routines
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and families

We’d love to hear from you if you have

  • Previous experience working as an HLTA or in a higher-level classroom support role
  • A recognised HLTA qualification, or relevant experience supporting teaching and learning
  • Confidence delivering lessons and leading learning independently
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A calm, adaptable and positive approach
  • The ability to engage, encourage and build confidence in pupils
  • A commitment to helping every child reach their potential

Experience supporting pupils with SEND would be an advantage, but your ability to build positive relationships and adapt your approach to individual needs is just as important.

Why work with Protocol Education?

You’re not “just” an HLTA. You’re the calm voice, helping hand and trusted presence who keeps learning moving and helps pupils feel confident in the classroom.

When you join Protocol Education, you’ll receive:

  • Weekly pay through PAYE, with no umbrella company fees
  • Free access to our online CPD Academy
  • Personalised support from a dedicated consultant
  • Opportunities across mainstream, SEND and alternative education settings
  • A streamlined registration process and access to local roles
  • A referral scheme, with rewards for recommending friends

If you’re ready to find an HLTA role where your experience is valued and your impact is felt, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and let’s find you a school where you can help pupils learn, grow and thrive.
