We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive provision in Gateshead, working with children who benefit from a more personalised approach to learning.

This role involves working across several educational provisions, so being able to drive and having access to your own vehicle is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead whole-class and small group learning.
• Support pupils with SEMH, SEND and communication needs.
• Deliver engaging activities that encourage confidence and independence.
• Work alongside teachers and support staff to meet individual learning goals.

You'll need

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Experience supporting vulnerable learners.
• A flexible approach.
• A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle.
• Have some experience with BSL

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
