Job description
Protocol Education are looking for experienced High Level Teaching Assistant with a Cookery specialism, to work with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Conditions (SEMH). This vacancy is for our Newcastle Branch, covering the South Shields area.

The applicant will need to be confident with their behaviour management skills and have sufficient cookery skills and knowledge.
The role may also involve mentoring SEMH pupils in the school with their social skills and behaviour in lessons.
This is a Maternity Cover role beginning in September

Essential skills and attributes:
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·Professional working manner.
·Experience of working with children with challenging behaviour..
·Excellent behaviour management skills.
·Good working knowledge of SEMH.
.Good understanding of the Physical Education Curriculum.
.Personal or Professional experiences within the cookery area.


You must:
• Be eligible to work in the UK
• Have professional experience working with SEND children in the UK in the last 3 years
• Have up to date professional childcare related references (covering the last 2 years)
• Have an enhanced DBS disclosure on the Update Service of be happy to apply for one
