You’ll play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning, confidently leading lessons across a range of subjects and working closely with teachers and support staff to ensure every pupil feels supported, challenged and included.

Many of the pupils you’ll be working with have a diagnosis of autism, so flexibility, creativity and empathy are essential. No two days are the same, but every day is rewarding.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and delivering lessons under the direction of teaching staff

  • Planning and delivering differentiated learning activities

  • Supporting pupils’ learning, progress and emotional wellbeing

  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and external professionals

  • Creating a safe, nurturing and positive learning environment

  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress and feeding back to relevant staff

  • Taking on reasonable duties as agreed with the leadership and cover teams

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from HLTAs who:

  • Have experience leading lessons and supporting pupil progress

  • Hold an HLTA qualification or have equivalent relevant experience

  • Communicate clearly and work well as part of a team

  • Are resilient, organised and solution-focused

  • Are passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs

  • Bring patience, professionalism and a calm presence to the classroom

Why This Role?

  • A chance to make a meaningful impact in a specialist setting

  • Supportive colleagues who value teamwork and collaboration
