We’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive and forward-thinking team in Swindon. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced HLTA who enjoys taking the lead in the classroom and making a real difference to pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
You’ll play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning, confidently leading lessons across a range of subjects and working closely with teachers and support staff to ensure every pupil feels supported, challenged and included.
Many of the pupils you’ll be working with have a diagnosis of autism, so flexibility, creativity and empathy are essential. No two days are the same, but every day is rewarding.

Contract: Full-time, Permanent / Long-term
Start Date: As soon as possible
Leading and delivering lessons under the direction of teaching staff
Planning and delivering differentiated learning activities
Supporting pupils’ learning, progress and emotional wellbeing
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and external professionals
Creating a safe, nurturing and positive learning environment
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress and feeding back to relevant staff
Taking on reasonable duties as agreed with the leadership and cover teams

Have experience leading lessons and supporting pupil progress
Hold an HLTA qualification or have equivalent relevant experience
Communicate clearly and work well as part of a team
