Our client is looking for a motivating Teaching and Learning Assistant to join a vibrant and outstanding school to assist in supporting students with additional needs and gain full access to the curriculum. • Protocol are working closely with a large 4-5 form school located in Central London
• The schools last OFSTED inspection was OUTSTANDING
• The school has excellent facilities equipped with the latest technology for learning.
• The schools does have students who are eligible for free school meals and whose first language is not English. Their students with SEND supports required are comparative to the national averages - meaning the candidate will be working closely in 121 teaching and assistance or small group intervention and support.
• The right candidate is required ASAP.

About the role:
As a successful HLTA, we aim to:
• Link you with suitable roles working across Key Stages 3 to 5 - both 121 and small group intervention work
• Work within your parameters
• Be transparent with you in expectations about availability and details of any assignment
• Support you with providing opportunities to CPD (such as Safeguarding courses)
• Maintain contact and making sure that you are supported fully to reach your potential

About you:
As a successful candidate, you should be able to:
• Demonstrate strong Literacy and Numeracy skills - demonstrated with excellent level 3 qualifications (e.g. BTEC, L3 or A Levels) or Honours or Undergrad degree
• Demonstrate previous experience working in an educational, special needs or youth-focused environment.
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management techniques. Able to promote behaviour for learning.
• Show a steady career or study history with ability to supply a minimum of 2 recent references covering the last 3 years. Strong references are necessary for this role.
• Show willingness to provide break/lunch-time cover or lesson cover in the absence of teaching staff
• Willing to contribute to wider community, participating in afterschool projects, clubs and communities as well

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
