A school located in Southwark which is a 15-minute walk away from Peckham Station and well as being connected with local bus routes are currently looking for a High Learning Teaching Assistant. Every pupil at this school has unique individual skills and needs that must be planned for. The schools aim is to provide for the learning, physical, social and care needs for their pupils within a supportive environment.

This challenging but highly rewarding role would suit someone either living in Lewisham or Southwark who is looking to work Monday to Friday 08:30 - 16:00.

To be successful in this role you would have had experience working with children with ASD as well significant speech and language difficulties as well as global delay. To apply for this role, you need to be a caring passionate individual who shows a genuine enthusiasm for education. So that you can ensure that all students receive the appropriate education provision, therapeutic input so that they able to make excellent progress.

Your main duties would be:

·Working 1:1 or in small groups.
·Catering to each students' individual needs.
·Encouraging and supporting students.
·Providing support for teaching staff.
·Preparing materials, equipment and lessons
·Assessing and reporting individual student progress.
·Liaising with parents, carers and professionals such as mainstream teachers and education welfare officers.
·Being able to cover the class in the teacher's absence.

You do need a Level 3 qualification to apply for this role.
