Higher Level Teaching Assistant
I am currently working with a large primary school in Stockport. We are looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic, and flexible HLTA to join a fantastic, and committed team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching and learning and is able to foster excellent relationships with children, parents and staff. A specialism in a primary curriculum subject would be an advantage but not essential: Art, ICT, English etc.

The school is situated in Stockport in Manchester. It has recently been rated good by Ofsted in 2019 with outstanding support from Senior Leadership. The large 3 form entry school is a multi-cultural school with a fantastic team who are both nurturing and inspirational. They are committed to providing the best learning experience possible with children placed at the centre of everything they do! They have recently been commented on by their outstanding curriculum which is designed to engage children in a sense of awe and wonder, so they develop a real love for learning.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of teaching this engaging curriculum. The post will include teacher and PPA cover across the school as well as supporting classes in the morning under the class teacher. This is a term time only post working 30 hours per week Monday - Friday. The post is currently temporary, but the school have said if they find the right candidate, they would be looking to extend.

The successful candidate will:

·Be required to possess their level 3/4 HLTA Status.

·Be personable, approachable and able to build positive working relationships with all adults and children.
·Be an inspirer who can motivate all pupils to learn; someone who is genuinely interested in children learning in a creative and engaging way.
·Lead the classroom in the absence of the Class Teacher.
·Work in groups and on a 1:1 basis with pupils who require extra support with their learning.
·Assist the Teacher to plan and prepare learning resources.
·Support with managing behaviour in the classroom when working alongside the Class Teacher.
·Will have their own excellent behaviour management strategies when leading classes.
·Ideally have experience in delivering Maths and Literacy lessons and interventions as well as other curriculum areas.
·Have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

In addition to this, Protocol Education can offer:
·Competitive rates of pay.
·FREE continued professional development training (CPD) including Team Teach.
·Ongoing honest, friendly, and professional support from our dedicated team of experts.
If this is an opportunity that excites you, we strongly encourage you to apply now. If you require further information regarding Protocol Education and the opportunities we have, please contact Katie Robinson at katie.robinson@protocol-education.com
