Job description
An Ofsted rated Good' School and based in the Borough of Greenwich are looking for a Deaf/Hearing Impaired Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their primary school ASAP.

The candidate must have a BSL Level 2 qualification (British Sign Language). In this role you will be required to support and help the development of Deaf and Hearing-Impaired students across the ages of 4-11, supporting their academic studies, develop students social and communication skills.

Requirements:-
• Experience in a similar role
• BSL Level 2 Qualification
• Calm approach- Engaging with pupils at all time
• Support at a consistently good level
• Be able to communicate very well using sign language is essential
• Substantial primary school experience
• Ability to build professional relationships with students and staff
• Flexible and adaptable to the pupils needs
• Creative and inspirational approach along with Enthusiasm for teaching
• Be able to start ASAP

To work in this school you need to be committed in giving children the best care. The school trust individuals to work 1:1 but to also offer additional support to those that need it at particularly challenging times. Empathy is a key component to a successful candidate for this position. The students at this school view the world differently and often require time and space to understand many tasks.
