Job description
Exciting opportunity for Head of Learning Centre for Post 16 SEN College

£240-350 per day

Are you an experienced SLT teacher with an enthusiasm for SEN? Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a Head of Learning Centre role in a post 16 SEN college in the borough of Merton. This role includes the management and co-ordination of budgets, staff and learning resources and is an exciting opportunity for a well organised and passionate individual who possesses strong leadership qualities.

This role requires:

·A Qualified Teacher Status in Lifelong learning.
·Extensive experience of teaching students with have learning disabilities and the ability to deliver high standards in all areas including: assessments, reports, planning and evaluating individual educational programs.
·Proven experience of management responsibility of multiple teaching teams.
·The ability to implement and lead curriculum initiatives in accordance with changing demands.

As this role is multi-faceted, the ideal candidate will possess strong people skills, the ability to work well under pressure and be a keen communicator who is passionate about the work of the college.

As the Head of Centre your responsibilities will include:

·The management of department budgets, learning resources and staff development.
·Setting a high standard of safe guarding practice for staff and students.
·Working collaboratively the Head of College in managing all staff members and facilitating a cohesive, successful and supportive work culture.
·Working in conjunction with various allied professionals to provide the highest level of support for all students and all areas of their development.
