Job description

Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a Head of MFL to work with a secondary school located in Harlow, Essex

The ideal candidate will be professional, flexible and adaptable with the opportunity to work in a demanding and rewarding school. Our client school are looking for an outstanding teacher who is able to teach French & German to KS3 - KS5 students.

Position: Head of MFL

Location: Harlow, Essex

Start Date: ASAP (Negotiable for the right candidate)

Salary: Paid to scale

Our client school are seeking to appoint a Head of Languages from January 2019. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional and an excellent classroom practitioner, with the ability to teach German to A Level.

This is an exciting time to join a high-performing department. Languages are an integral part of their curriculum, and they are proud that their Ebacc results are the highest of the Harlow schools. German and French are popular GCSE options, with results consistently exceeding the national average, while at A Level, they average ALPS scores of 3 or above. They are bucking national trends in MFL and regularly send pupils to university to study languages. The department runs an annual residential trip to Berlin and a day-trip to France.

They are looking for a candidate who: -
