Job description

Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a Head of English to work with a secondary school located in Harlow, Essex

The ideal candidate will be professional, flexible and adaptable with the opportunity to work in a demanding and rewarding school. Our client school are looking for a dedicated and committed teacher who is able to teach English to KS3 - KS4 students.

Position: Head of English

Location: Harlow, Essex

Start Date: January 2019

Salary: MPS/UPS - Leadership

Contract: Full Time


We are looking for a candidate who: -

  • Has an enthusiastic and positive approach within and beyond the classroom
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Has a good understanding the current educational development
• Believes that every student, regardless of their background, can make outstanding progress.
• Is rigorous, relentless, determined, creative and inspirational in their style and presence as a teacher.
• Utilises a variety of teaching methods to present engaging, thoughtful lessons.
• Is caring and has the drive and passion to continue to develop strong relationships and the wellbeing with staff, students, parents, governors and the local community.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team who truly aim to make a difference. Protocol Education are working with secondary schools throughout Essex and London who are looking to recruit permanent members of staff across the whole subject range.
