Protocol Education is recruiting Trainee Teaching Assistants to work within secondary schools across Peterlee from September.

Whether you've recently graduated or are looking for a rewarding career change, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical classroom experience while supporting young people to achieve their full potential.

Working Pattern

  • Full-time
  • September start
  • Monday-Friday
  • Working hours between 8:30am-3:30pm and 8:30am-4:30pm
  • Term-time only
  • Long-term opportunity with permanent potential

Your responsibilities

  • Supporting learning across a range of subjects
  • Delivering 1:1 and small group support
  • Encouraging confidence and engagement
  • Building positive relationships with students
  • Supporting classroom management
  • Working alongside experienced teachers

What we're looking for

  • Enthusiasm for working with young people
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Reliable and committed approach
  • Previous experience with young people is welcomed but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
