Graduate Teaching Assistant – English Graduate | Gateshead SEND School

Protocol Education is currently recruiting English graduates for a full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant position within a specialist SEND school in Gateshead.

This role provides excellent experience supporting children and young people with additional educational needs while working alongside experienced teachers and specialist staff.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEND.
• Delivering literacy-based interventions.
• Providing classroom and 1:1 support.
• Encouraging communication and engagement.
• Assisting with behaviour support strategies.
• Contributing to an inclusive learning environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Professional and reliable approach.
• Passion for education.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
