Graduate Teaching Assistant – Ferryhill | Full-Time

Protocol Education is currently recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant to work within a supportive school in Ferryhill.

This position is ideal for graduates seeking practical experience before progressing into teaching, educational psychology, social work or related professions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group learning support
  • Assist pupils with additional learning and emotional needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement
  • Build supportive relationships with pupils
  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences

Essential requirements:

  • Degree in Sociology, Criminology, Social Sciences, Psychology or a related discipline
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
  • Genuine passion for supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
