Graduate SEND Teaching Assistant – Ferryhill

Have you recently graduated in Psychology, Education, Criminology, Sociology or a related subject?

We're recruiting a Graduate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive PRU in Ferryhill. You'll work alongside experienced educators to support pupils who require additional academic, emotional and behavioural support.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one and small-group support
• Help pupils engage positively in lessons
• Support children with SEND, SEMH needs and EHCPs
• Encourage positive behaviour and independence
• Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams
• Celebrate pupil progress and achievements

About You

• Graduate with a genuine interest in education
• Compassionate and approachable
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to build positive relationships with young people
• DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
