Protocol Education is recruiting for a specialist SEN school in Gateshead and is looking for graduates to join their team as Teaching Assistants.

You'll gain hands-on experience supporting pupils with additional needs while developing skills that could help you move into a career in teaching, psychology, therapy, social care or SEN.

What You'll Do

• Support pupils throughout the school day
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support
• Help pupils access lessons and activities
• Encourage communication and independence
• Support pupils' social and emotional development
• Build positive relationships with pupils
• Work closely with teachers and other professionals
• Help create a positive and supportive learning environment

You'll need:

• A degree
• A genuine interest in supporting children
• Good communication skills
• Patience and resilience
• A positive and professional approach
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A willingness to learn and develop your SEN knowledge

Previous SEN experience is not essential.
