Protocol Education is working with a welcoming specialist school in Gateshead to recruit a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting this September.

This opportunity is ideal for graduates hoping to pursue careers in Educational Psychology, Child Mental Health, Occupational Therapy or Teaching while gaining experience supporting pupils with SEND.

Role Information

  • Full-time position

  • Monday-Friday
  • Term-time only
  • Opportunity for a permanent role

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with Autism, ADHD and SEMH
  • Assist teachers during lessons
  • Deliver personalised learning support
  • Encourage communication and social development
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and families

Requirements

  • Psychology degree or equivalent
  • Compassionate and proactive attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
