Job description
Graduate SEN TA - Tower Hamlets

Location: Tower Hamlets

Pay: £65-75 (paid through PAYE, so no hidden umbrella company costs)

Are you a recent Graduate with a passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs and disabilities?

Do you have future aspirations to become a teacher?

Are you patient, friendly and keen to make a real difference?

If you have prior experience working with SEND pupils, either within the classroom or in another setting, protocol would love to hear from you.

Protocol are currently working with several Primary schools and SEND schools in Tower Hamlets who require a number of Graduate SEND TA's to start as soon as possible to support their pupils. The majority of these positions are long term and for the right candidate could lead to permanent employment.

The pupils you will be supporting have a range of SEND from behavioural problems, Autism, and Profound Multiple Learning disabilities (PMLD). Prior experience is therefore essential.

Working with children with SEND can be a challenging job but it is also extremely rewarding.

The ideal candidate will;

•Have prior experience working with SEND students, either in the classroom or within the wider community
•Be a recent graduate (2:1 or above desirable)
•A degree closely related to SEN would be highly beneficial
•Enthusiastic and energetic with a real desire to make a difference to life of your students
•Live in Tower Hamlets or the surrounding boroughs
•Be professional at all times, adhering to the relevant safeguarding procedures at all times
•Flexible

Protocol is committed to the stringent safeguarding of the pupils in our schools; In order to apply, candidates must either hold a current DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake one through protocol. Employment is also dependent on the return of satisfactory references from previous employers.
