Graduate Occupational Therapist – Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education is looking for a Graduate Occupational Therapist to join a specialist SEN school in Ferryhill as a Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable experience working alongside experienced teachers and therapists while supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.

You'll work with children with autism, complex learning needs, communication difficulties, and sensory processing differences, helping them access education in a safe and supportive environment.

Your role will include:

• Providing classroom and 1:1 support.
• Supporting pupils with sensory and emotional regulation.
• Assisting with therapy-based activities and interventions.
• Encouraging independence and confidence.
• Recording observations and monitoring progress.
• Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
