Protocol Education are recruiting for graduates and future teachers to work in schools across Sunderland, specifically Roker, Washington, Ashbrooke and Hetton.

If successful you will work as either a cover supervisors or learning support assistants/ teaching assistant, supporting the learning of students across the curriculum.

The role of the cover supervisor is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set. The class teacher will set work for students to complete and the cover supervisor will ensure that pupils remain on task. Although it is not necessary for cover supervisors to have specific subject knowledge they should be able to manage behaviour and discuss the student's work with them, offering support and advice if needed. A cover supervisor is the responsible adult in the classroom and is, therefore, responsible for dealing with any emergencies or problems that might occur.

A teaching assistant / learning support assistant provides 121 or small group support to children who have a range of SEND. You will pupils aged between 11-16 to access the curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
