We’re supporting a number of well-led secondary schools in Gateshead who are looking for a confident and driven Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their support teams.

This role is ideal if you’re considering teacher training, a PGCE, or a career in youth support. As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with students across KS3 and KS4, helping them stay engaged, organised, and confident in lessons.

Your role as a Graduate Learning Support Assistant will include:

• Delivering targeted small group support
• Supporting pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 basis
• Reinforcing positive behaviour and classroom expectations
• Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and resource adaptation
• Encouraging independence and academic progress

Secondary schools in Gateshead are looking for Graduate Learning Support Assistants who are adaptable, calm under pressure, and genuinely passionate about supporting young people.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

Degrees in psychology, education, English, maths, science, sports, or social sciences are particularly relevant, but all graduates are welcome.
