Job description
Graduate Cover Supervisors Required...

Protocol Education are currently working in partnership with a number of Secondary schools/academies within Manchester looking to appoint Cover Supervisors.

The schools are seeking individuals who are passionate, driven and have presence within the classroom whilst undertaking the role as Cover Supervisor, and are able to ensure the day runs as smoothly as possible.
Within this role you are required to deliver pre planned lessons, whilst taking the guidance of teaching staff, along with supporting pupils in and out of the classroom, as well as the main priority of supervising and safeguarding the whole class in terms of behaviour management. You would be required to be flexible in your approach, be prepared to cover any subject area and any year group with confidence.

Roles are flexible, and you can be required to work full days or for specific periods throughout the school day. Usually once attending a school and making a good impression, schools regularly ask for the same candidate back in order to keep continuity within the school. This can also lead to long term support roles within the school.

The ideal candidate would obtain the below:
• Degree level (or equivalent)
• Experience of working with students 11 years old +
• Ideally have a specialist subject i.e Drama, English, Science, PE
• Have presence within the classroom
• Able to build strong working relationships with students and staff

If you are thinking about beginning a career within education or hope to start your teacher training in the near future then this would be the ideal opportunity for you!
