Teacher of Geography

Are you a qualified Teacher of Geography looking for a new challenge for the new academic year in Birmingham?

This Secondary Academy are looking to appoint a Geography Teacher to a full time post with them for the new academic year.

This Secondary Academy based in the heart of Birmingham are looking to appoint a Teacher of Geography to a full time post for duration of the coming academic year. The position will see the successful applicant teaching Geography to all Key Stages including GCSE and A-Level groups.

The school have been recently converted to academy status with a well accredited sponsor taking over the reigns at the school. Their established leadership team have led the school through some of the significant changes implemented over the past 5 years and they are keen to continue the good work that has been done recently. The school are looking for committed and passionate teachers who are keen to play a significant role in the journey this school has embarked on in recent times.

The management at the school have establishing high standards and expectations of pupils and all staff and are keen to appoint a Teacher who will embrace this ethos and contribute to driving the school to its targets over the coming years. The school is slightly smaller than the average secondary school with almost all pupils coming from ethnic minority backgrounds and a significant proportion having English as an additional language. The number of pupils eligible for the pupils premium and those on school action, school action plus or with a statement of special needs is significantly above the national average.

This is challenging but potentially highly rewarding opportunity for a committed Teacher of Geography to join a school that are well supported and resourced with a well planned and auctioned strategy for improvement.

The school have some flexibility in the department and as such are keen to receive applications from Newly Qualified Teachers and experienced Teachers seeking a new challenge.
