Job description
Secondary Science Teacher required for SEND Specialist school

We currently have an opportunity available for a qualified Science teacher to support students within a specialist support unit in Sheffield. This role is part time and will require you to work 3-4 days a week. This is an ongoing position over Term 1, but it has the opportunity to become a long term position if the successful candidate shows and delivers a high level of academic support across the board whilst considering and supporting individual support to all of their students.

You will be responsible for teaching small classes of around 6 pupils at any one time, which may range severely in their academic ability. All pupils at the school have one or multiple SEND, SEMH, or Physical Disabilities.

It is of high importance that you are committed to the progression of all of your students both academically and emotionally. Working within an SEND environment previously would be an advantage but is not essential.

Any successful candidate must be qualified to teach Science across KS3, KS4 and preferably KS5.

If you feel that you would be an ideal candidate for this role, then please contact our SEN specialist Hannah on 0114 252 1975.
