Learning Support Practitioners needed for a college based in South East Kent
Temporary to Permanent

Must have SEN experience

My client a college based in Kent are looking for support people to work with students between the ages of 16 - 24years, the students are studying full time and have tutors but they also need a bit of help as some students have special needs. The needs range from Complex, Autism, SEMH to name a few. You will be required to support in all areas and this maybe reading and writing or looking for signs to diffuse certain situations to avoid disruption in the classes. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in working with SEN and maybe some experience in Secondary Schools or other Colleges and Care work would be good.

You will be working on a temporary or a permanent basis, you will need to combine your professional experience and skills to support a varied and stimulating curriculum within a college setting.

Responsible for ensuring the effective teaching and learning of these pupils, you will need to be confident in your ability to support students and staff and use your initiative as well as able being to work as part of the teaching and support team.

To be considered for these roles, you must:

- Have recent experience of working within an educational setting (and be able to provide references)
- Have experience of working with Young Adults
- Have a DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
