Job description
A lovely Primary School in Brent is looking for an experienced lower Year 2 teacher who could also take on a role as a Year 2 Leader.

The successful applicant will be covering classes in Year 2 on a long term contract from January 2018 until at least July 2018.

This is a great opportunity to join a rencently open small school and contribute to its success and the quality of teaching and management. Our client is looking for a candidate with a vast teaching experience, who has a high work-ethic and can-do' attitude. On top of this, the school is seeking a teacher who is willing to commit to the role, must have prior experience of teaching Year 2 and preparing children to SATs. You will have a kind and patient nature and will bring an engaging and inspiring attitude to the classroom. Our client is looking for someone to also take on a responsibility as a Year 2 Leader and be responsible for planning and assessment for the whole year groups, as well as training junior staff. The ideal candidate will thus need to be highly organised, have strong leadership and time management skills, and be able to take own initiative and work effectively with minimum supervision (Previous experience as a Lead Teacher is desirable, but not compulsory).

On top of this, the successful applicant MUST have:
- A Qualified Teacher Status (either a PGCE or Cert Ed.)
- A minimum of 3 years UK teaching experience.
- Knowledge of KS1 National Curriculum and the ability to plan differentiated work.
- A valid DBS or willing to undertake one.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Excellent teaching references
- Strong behaviour management skills.

Additionally, the candidates must be available for interviews immediately, as the school would like to appoint as soon as possible.
