Job description
An independent primary school in Brent is looking for a Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from April 2019.

The successful applicant will be in charge of preparation, planning and assessment of Year 1, which currently has 12 children. The role will be a permanent contract and the school is hoping for the candidate will be able to commit for at least 2 years.

Experience teaching and planning within the KS1 Curriculum is essential and the school is looking for an outstanding practitioner.

Our client is looking for a candidate with a vast teaching experience, who has an excellent work-ethic, can-do' attitude and ability to work within the minimum of supervision.

You will be adaptable and be able to differentiate the curriculum in order to effectively deliver lessons to children who may have different level of English and Maths attainment. You will excel in your time management and organization skills and you will be able to balance teaching with additional administrative duties which will involve preparing regular reports. On top of this, you will have an inspiring and warm personality which will create and engaging and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom, and have a good knowledge of using ICT in the classroom (specifically iPads).

The successful applicant must have:
- A Qualified Teacher Status (either a PGCE or Cert Ed.)
- A minimum of 1 year UK teaching experience.
- Knowledge of KS1 National Curriculum and the ability to plan differentiated work.
- A valid DBS or willing to undertake one.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Excellent teaching references
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Bubbly, energetic and warm personality.

Additionally, the candidates must be available for interviews as soon as possible. The placement starts after Easter break.
