Job description
A lovely independent school the London Borough of Brent is seeking an EYFS/KS1 PPA Teacher to start as soon as possible.

Our client is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate primary teacher who is results driven and committed to a long term role until the end of this academic year. The suitable candidate will have ideally previous experience teaching EYFS and KS1 within the British National Curriculum and who has a high work-ethic and can-do' attitude. Our client is a small private school so ability to work with a minimum supervision is necessary. On top of this, you will be able to take own initiative when necessary and look outside the books in order to help the school in further development.

The role is part-time with the school looking for someone to work 2 full-days and 1 half-day (specific days are to be decided upon appointment of the right candidate). The average class has from 10-20 children.

The Role will require:
• To deliver lessons, teach and mark work for pupils across EYFS and KS1 (although when necessary, you may also be asked to cover classes in KS2 on occasions).
• To attend regular department meetings and to liaise with parents and the relevant co-ordinators to ensure that they are kept up to date with key issues regarding their children.
• To keep a detailed and accurate Teacher Planner in accordance with school policy and ensure that assessment records both written and on Department network registers are maintained up to date.
• To ensure that all classes are taught according to school policy and that National Curriculum.


Essential requirements:
• A Qualified Teacher Status (either a PGCE or Cert Ed.)
• A minimum of 1 year teaching experience within the British National Curriculum.
• Very good knowledge of the British National Curriculum and the ability to plan differentiated work.
• A valid DBS or willing to undertake one.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Excellent teaching references.
• Very strong behaviour management skills.
• Outgoing and warm personality.

Experience of previous work in an independent school is not necessary but would be a bonus.

The candidates must be available for interviews immediately as the role starts as soon as possible.
