Job description
Protocol Education is currently looking for inspiring and ambitious Teaching Assistants for our lovely school in Kingsbury.

Ou client - a 'GOOD' (by Ofsted) primary school in North West London is looking to recruit two experienced Teaching Assistants for their roles in Year 1 and Year 2. Both positions start mid-September 2018 and will continue until July 2019.

Our client is ideally looking for individuals who aspire to become primary teachers in the future. You will have a strong understanding and knowledge of the KS1 National Curriculum and be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision. You will have a warm, enthusiastic and bubbly personality, and 'can-do' attitude. Due to the large number of EAL, the suitable candidate will also have track of previous work with children (or youth) who have English as a second language. The successful candidate should be able to establish a good rapport with the students they are supporting, as well as regularly liaise with the class teacher, SENCO and parents to update them on the progress of the students.

Essential requirements:
- An undergraduate degree (at least 2:2)
- A minimum of 6 months in a classroom environment in the UK
- Good knowledge of KS1 British National Curriculym
- Experience working with children with SEN and/or EAL
- The ability to adapt and prepare resources to suit the needs of the child
- Strong behaviour management
- A UK DBS or willing to undertake one
- 2 excellent references

You should also be highly professional in every aspect, be self-motivated and able to work with the minimum of supervision. On top of that you must be available immediately as the school would like to recruit as soon as possible. A Teaching Assistant qualification is not essential but will be an advantage.
