Job description
A 'GOOD' (by Ofsted) primary school in Wembley is currently looking for an experienced LSA who could carry our Speech & Language interventions.

This is a full-time role that starts in January 2019 and will continue initially until July 2019 but with the possibility of a post beyond.

You will be responsible for carrying out Speech and Language interventions and Literacy and Numeracy interventions in KS2. The pupils you will b e working with have a range of special education needs and you will need to organise their own work based on targets given by the teacher or Speech and Language therapist. The ideal candidate would have to have calm and warm personality with ability to take own initiative. You will also be flexible as there may be times where you will be asked to cover 1:1 SEN TAs in KS2.


Essential skills and attributes:
Very good spoken language due to the needs of our SEN pupils
Competent Literacy and Numeracy skills so that they are able to support children up to Year 6
Experience of carrying out small group interventions or supporting SEN children in a primary school
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional working manner
A passion for working with children
Good understanding of the EYFS British National Primary School Curriculum
Ability to work with minimum of supervision

Desirable:
Speech and Language experience (Speech and Language may be provided)
Experience of carrying out interventions within the KS2 British Curriculum
