Job description
Protocol Education is currently looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work with a child in Year 5 at one of our client schools in the London Borough of Brent.

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and bubbly individual who stands out above the rest and demonstrates a passion to make a real difference, and aims to help give equal opportunities to all students. You will assist a student in Year 5 who has mobility issues and needs assistance while moving around the school. You will offer them guidance on their academic development, as well as independence and improvement of their social skills. You will have strong Numeracy and Literacy skills and be able to support the child in its transition into Year 6 and then a Secondary school. You will be able to build strong rapport with them and fellow members of staff and the parents. When necessary, you'll be happy to take own initiative and look outside the box when seeking and take own initiative when needed. You should also be highly professional in every aspect, be self-motivated and able to work with the minimum of supervision. You will also make sure that the child in question feel safe and comfortable in the school environment.

Essential requirements:
- An undergraduate degree (at least 2:2)
- A minimum of 6 months in a classroom environment in the UK
- Good knowledge of EYFS/KS1 British National Curriculum
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD, ADHD and/or GDD
- The ability to adapt and prepare resources to suit the needs of the child
- Strong behaviour management
- A UK DBS or willing to undertake one
- 2 excellent references
