We are working with a Specialist SEND School who are seeking an Art Teacher from September 2019. The school is based in between both Chessington North and South Stations, with ample parking on site if you drive.

The School itself is a large SEND school which is part of a larger multi-academy trust, and is very well known in the London and Surrey area's.

The School caters for pupils from the ages of 9-19, who all have statements or are covered by EHCP's for moderate learning difficulties. Many of the students have additional needs such as mild to moderate Autism, language impairment or emotional issues. The class sizes are between 8-10 so they pupils do not need 1:1 but learning support assistants are provided in each class to support the class teachers.

The role:

• 5 days a week: full time teaching Art up to GCSE level
• Working across the school
• Potentially completing some small group interventions covering Maths and English
• Join a good sized, vibrant art team which excellent teaching resources

In return:

• You will hold UK QTS or have the overseas equivalent
• Hold UK right to work
• Be able to teach Art up to GCSE level using the national curriculum and have strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Be able to commit to 4-5 days a week
• Be enthusiastic about teaching art and giving pupils a balanced education
