Job description
A Good' (by Ofsted) primary school in Willesden, Brent, is seeking a PPA/Intervention Teacher to release teachers on PPA and conduct Intervention sessions across all year groups.

This is a full-time long term role starting in May 2018 and will continue until the end of this academic year.

Our client is a lovely, very welcoming 1-form-entry school based in Willesden. They are looking for a dynamic, dedicated and passionate Primary Teacher who is results driven and committed. The suitable candidate will have previous experience teaching KS1 and KS2 within the British National Curriculum; they will have an enthusiastic and warm personality, a high work-ethic, can-do' attitude, will work well in a team and be able to easily inspire and motivate the children. On top of this you will be very adaptable and will work with a minimum of supervision. Your behaviour management will be one of your fortes and you will have a proven track of successful behaviour strategies.

The role will require:
• Deliver an appropriate, broad, differentiated and challenging curriculum to specific groups of pupils appropriate to their needs, although the planning will be provided, you may be asked to contribute to it at times when necessary.
• Assess, record and report on all aspects of pupils' progress and development;
• Contribute to raising standards of pupil attainment;
• Provide and/or contribute to oral and written assessments relating to individual pupils or groups of pupils, internally, with parents and outside agencies;
• Ensure high standards of behaviour so effective learning can take place, and good relationships can be formed within the school community;
• Contribute to whole school planning activities;
• To attend regular department meetings and to liaise with parents and the relevant co-ordinators to ensure that they are kept up to date with key issues regarding their children;
• To keep a detailed and accurate Teacher Planner in accordance with school policy and ensure that assessment records both written and on Department network registers are maintained up to date;
• To ensure that all classes are taught according to school policy and that National Curriculum;

Essential requirements:
• A Qualified Teacher Status (either a PGCE or Cert Ed.)
• A minimum of 1 year UK teaching experience
• Very good knowledge of the KS2 British National Curriculum and the ability to plan differentiated work.
• A valid DBS on the Update Service or willing to undertake one.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Excellent teaching references.
• Very strong behaviour management skills.

Experience working with children with special educational needs and who have English as an additional language would be an advantage, as there is a quite high number of such children in the school.
