Full-Time Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Newcastle upon Tyne

Are you a Psychology, Sociology or Education graduate in Newcastle upon Tyne looking to build meaningful experience supporting learners with additional needs?

A specialist education setting is seeking a full-time Graduate Learning Support Assistant to help learners overcome barriers to education while developing confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group learning support
• Assist learners with understanding classroom tasks
• Encourage independence, confidence and resilience
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
• Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff

Skills & Qualities

• Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education or related subject preferred
• Positive and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
