Job description
A fantastic independent primary school in the London Borough of Brent is currently looking for an experienced Primary teacher who could join their well-established team and take charge of their classes.

The successful applicant will be planning, delivering lessons and preparing assessment according to the current British National Curriculum for a group of 10-20 children. The role starts in September 2018 and the school is hoping for a candidate to commit for at least 2 years. On top of this, our client is looking for a candidate to taken on additional responsibilities within the school, which may include mentoring Newly Qualified Teachers and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team.

Experience working (including planning, preparation, delivery, assessment) within the British Curriculum is essential and the school is looking for an outstanding practitioner who is confident in the classroom and builds strong rapport with their students, as well as other members of staff. You will be passionate about education and helping children to achieve their full potential. You will have a high work-ethic, can-do' attitude and will have ability to work independently and with minimum of supervision when necessary. You will have a kind and patient manner when working with children and you will be able to bring an engaging and inspiring atmosphere to the classroom.

The successful applicant must have:
- A Qualified Teacher Status (either a PGCE or Cert Ed.)
- A minimum of 3 years UK teaching experience.
- Knowledge of EYFS National Curriculum and the ability to plan differentiated work.
- A valid DBS on the Update Service or willing to undertake one.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Excellent teaching references
- Strong behaviour management skills.

Although the leadership experience is not essential, the candidates applying for this role must have strong leadership skills and proven track of stepping out and taking own initiative in their previous roles that benefit the school and children.
