Full-Time BSL Teaching Assistant – Gateshead

We're recruiting a BSL Teaching Assistant to support pupils across specialist provisions in Gateshead. You'll play an important role in helping learners communicate, participate and achieve their goals.

The role:

• Provide classroom support using British Sign Language
• Encourage communication, confidence and independence
• Work closely with teachers and support staff
• Support pupils with a range of additional needs
• Travel to different provisions throughout Gateshead as required

You'll need:

• Experience using BSL or a recognised BSL qualification
• Excellent communication skills
• A caring, flexible and enthusiastic attitude
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
