Job description
One of our partner schools based in the centre of Redcar and Cleveland require a teacher of Design and Technology to join the team on a full time basis from September until the end of the school year. The Food Technology Teacher will be professional, flexible and adaptable with the opportunity to work in a demanding and rewarding school.
The school have gone through a lot of changes and will be part of a new multi-academy trust in September.
The school are looking for an individual who is a hard working team player. This is a very exciting time at the school with lots of positive changes and it will be a great experience to be part of these changes. 

The SLT are very supportive of staff and encourage development and further training!

The Design and Technology Teacher Role

We are looking for a Design and Technology Teacher who can teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key stage 5 teaching experience is desirable but not essential). There is room for progression within the department as it is currently expanding. An up to date knowledge of the UK curriculum is essential. This post would be suitable for both an NQT and a more experienced teacher who would like to develop their skills and expertise in a well-resourced faculty.

Working with a vibrant and highly successful faculty, you will be an outstanding classroom teacher with a passionate commitment to the progress of all students in our fully comprehensive school.

The successful Secondary Design and Technology Teacher is expected to:

§ Have qualified teacher status (QTS) in the UK
§ Effectively teach key stage 3 and 4 curriculum to the highest standards.
§ Assess and mark pupils work, monitoring progression levels.
§ Communicate effectively with pupils, parents and other staff members.
§ Be committed to the schools objectives and teach in line with their ethos.
