Food Technology Teacher Wanted

This Birmingham secondary school are looking to appoint a Food Technology Teacher to a long term supply cover for start in September and could run through until the end of the academic year. The position is offered on a full time, 5 day a week basis and will see the successful applicant teaching Food Technology to KS3 and KS4 pupils. The school will provide the successful candidate with a half days PPA in their timetable with support from the experienced Head of Department.

You will join a school that has a good reputation, joining a team with real impetus and a dynamic and inspiration leadership team. The school have implemented high standards throughout the school with high expectations of staff and pupils, with staff passionate about their profession, their school and the vision and values that are being embedded throughout the school.

Located within Birmingham LEA the school is found in to the South of the city centre within easy commutable distance from surrounding areas in Birmingham. This is a large school well above the average sized secondary school. Pupils come from a diverse set of backgrounds with the majority of pupils coming from ethnic minorities with a significant proportion of pupils speaking English as an additional language. The schools catchment area covers an area of significant deprivation with over half of pupils eligible for the pupil premium with a higher than average number of pupils with special needs.
