Job description
Are you looking for fun, flexible and fulfilling work?

If the answer is yes then working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant could be for you!

I am currently working with schools and academy trusts across the West London borough of Hillingdon who are looking for Higher Learning Teaching Assistants. The majority of the work is around the Uxbridge, Hayes and West drayton area and we have a range of positions from full time long term contracts and well as more flexible day to day cover work.

Working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant can be a fantastic opportunity to build up experience as well as to utilise experience you may already have from previous employments. The main aspect of the role that differentiates you is that you will be covering classes and delivering lessons that have been pre-planned for you as well as supporting pupils with their learning and development. This is why the role is ideal for people who may be thinking about a career in teaching but wanting to gain paid, hands on experience before committing to a PGCE or Teach first course.

This position is open to people with a variety of transferable skills, but it is essential that you have some experience ideally working with children or young people in which you have taken a leading role. The flexibility and performance aspect to the role would suit Actors and those with a performance background as well as Graduates who have good curriculum knowledge and feel they have the confidence to lead a classroom.

We are also looking for experienced Teaching Assistants and Higher Level Teaching Assistants who may be looking for flexible work or to take the next step in their career, however in order to be eligible for any of these positions we would need to have you registered with us which will involve needing a DBS registered to the online update service as well as getting your most recent employment references.

If you are interested in this position please get in touch with your up to date CV and a statement on what skills and experience you would bring to the role.
