Are you a qualified teacher looking work that is flexible? I am working with secondary schools across Leeds and Bradford who have a very high demand for teachers acorss the subjects on a short term basis.

You may be looking to take a step down from the commitments of a full-time teaching position or perhaps there is not the ideal teaching role you are wanting to commit to right now. Perhaps you have childcare commitments which make a full-time position difficult or are you looking to have flexibility for a few years to make more time for your personal life. You may have started a career out of education but still have a passion for teaching therefore, would like to teach on any days you are available.

Benefits of short-term supply work:

üYou can accept as much work as you want with the potential to work full-time for the academic year.
üFlexible around other commitments.
üReduced workload no planning of lessons or marking of work.
üWorking hours approximately 8:30am 3pm- better work-life balance
üCompetitive pay.
üPotential to gain experience teaching outside of your subject, can assist with career development
üExperience working in a range of secondary schools.
üInsight into which schools you may want to work within on a permanent basis.
üNo notice period.

What your week could look like:

üWorking within a single school for the full week
üWorking within several different schools 5 days a week
üOnly working the days you are available/ do not have other commitments
üFinishing at 3pm everyday with no planning and marking.

Whatever the motive supply teaching is in high demand within schools and becoming more popular amongst teachers, due to its flexibility, convenience and competitive rate of pay. Supply work can lead to long term and permanent teaching positions, if this is something you are looking for.

Protocol-Education place teachers and support staff on a short-term, long-term and permanent basis, we are here to support your through your education career and get you work that suits your lifestyle.

You need to hold QTS and a DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for a new one. I have opportunities for both newly qualified teachers and experienced teachers.
