Protocol education are currently recruiting flexible & creative teaching assistants from backgrounds such as acting, music & drama who can utilise & transfer their skills to a primary and secondary special needs setting. As a teaching assistant you will be supporting students on a one to one basis as well as supporting the class teacher and team. Successful candidates will encourage students development, engage through sensory play & interaction, understanding social cues & skills, teaching communication and enabling students to manage their behaviours. If successful, this rewarding opportunity will be working with students with special needs such as autism, physical disabilities, speech and language difficulties and learning disabilities.

Main Duties:

• Engaging students through creative lessons such as art, music and active play
• Help with sensory integration within the classroom
• Create a positive and engaging rapport
• Developing an understanding of students social and emotional behaviours
• Working with the teacher to assess pupils' levels and ability
• Ensuring the schools ethos and policies are being implemented
