Primary Teaching and Learning Assistants Special Needs

Early support makes all the difference, and you could be part of that journey right from the start.

A nurturing primary school in BS3 is looking for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs within their early years setting.

This is a role where your patience, care, and attention can shape a child’s entire experience of school.

What your day will involve:
You’ll support one child within a nursery or reception class, helping them access learning through play, routines, and structured support. You’ll work closely with the class team to create a safe, engaging environment where they can build confidence.

You’ll use visual aids, simple instructions, and consistent routines to support development. You’ll also celebrate every bit of progress, no matter how small.

The ideal candidate:
You’re nurturing, observant, and patient. You understand early development and know that every child moves at their own pace.

Experience in EYFS or SEND is helpful, but your ability to connect, support, and encourage is what really matters.

Why Protocol Education:

  • Free EYFS and SEND training
  • Weekly PAYE pay
  • Support from a dedicated consultant
  • Opportunities for long-term roles
