EYFS SEND Teacher – Maternity Cover
Starting January – Wolverhampton

A dedicated EYFS SEND Teacher is required to join a supportive specialist setting in Wolverhampton from January, covering a period of maternity leave. This role focuses on teaching young learners aged 4–7 with a range of additional needs, including learning difficulties, developmental delay, and autistic spectrum conditions.

The school provides a nurturing, structured environment for pupils with EHCPs. Their flexible and engaging curriculum supports children with learning difficulties, sensory needs, social communication challenges, and autism. With a strong specialist team and excellent resources, the setting is committed to helping every child build early learning skills, independence, and confidence.

The Role
The EYFS SEND Teacher will deliver personalised learning plans that support each child’s development. Working within a skilled, multi-disciplinary team, the teacher will create meaningful, play-based lessons that help pupils progress at their own pace.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver tailored EYFS programmes in a calm, engaging, and supportive manner
• Work collaboratively with support staff to create effective learning environments
• Promote early communication, sensory exploration, and independence
• Adapt lessons and resources to meet a wide range of needs
• Build consistent, trusting relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence and growth

About You:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within EYFS and/or supporting pupils with SEND
• A patient, creative, and compassionate approach
• Strong communication and effective teamwork skills
• Resilient, nurturing, and committed to supporting young children’s development
