EYFS SEND Teacher

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated EYFS SEND Teacher to join a highly supportive specialist setting in Shropshire. This role focuses on working with children aged 0–5 who have a range of additional needs, including autism, developmental delay and learning difficulties, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact during the earliest stages of education.

The Role
As an EYFS SEND Teacher, you will plan and deliver personalised, play-based learning that reflects each child’s developmental stage and individual needs. You will create a calm, inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe to explore and learn, while working closely with support staff and other professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality provision.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering tailored EYFS learning programmes in a supportive and engaging way
• Adapting teaching strategies and resources to meet a diverse range of needs
• Supporting early communication, sensory development and independence
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider team
• Building strong, trusting relationships that support pupil progress and wellbeing

About You
You will be a qualified teacher with a genuine passion for early years and inclusive education. You’ll bring a patient, creative and nurturing approach, alongside the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a specialist setting.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience within EYFS and/or supporting pupils with SEND
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A resilient, compassionate and proactive approach
