A friendly primary school in the BS34 area of Bristol is looking for a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Classroom Support Assistant to join their Early Years team. This is a brilliant opportunity to support children at the very start of their school journey, helping them build confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.
If you enjoy storytelling, creative play, messy activities, and those proud “look what I did!” moments, you’ll feel right at home here.
Every day in Early Years is different, but your role will be all about creating a warm and supportive environment where children can thrive.
You’ll be:
• Supporting the class teacher within the EYFS classroom
• Helping children with early learning activities through play and exploration
• Encouraging communication, social skills, and independence
• Assisting with phonics, early numeracy, and creative activities
• Helping maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning space
You don’t need to know everything about Early Years already, just bring the right energy and care.
Ideally, you’ll have:
• Experience working with young children or within an EYFS setting
• A warm, patient and positive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting early childhood development
• An Early Years or childcare qualification (desirable but not essential)
This school prides itself on creating a supportive environment where staff and pupils can flourish.
You can expect:
• Competitive pay based on experience
• Access to training and professional development
• A supportive and welcoming school team
• The chance to help children build confidence at the very start of their education
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
