Job description
Protocol Education are seeking committed, reliable and passionate teaching assistants within or near South West London to work in our special needs school based in the borough of Wandsworth.

We are currently looking to recruit for roles within a few of our special needs schools that work with both primary and secondary aged students. If successful you will be expected to support students 1:1 or lead small groups.

If successful, you will be working with students that have a range of special needs such as physical disabilities, visual and hearing impairments, profound multiple learning disabilities and speech and language disabilities. Although these students have special needs, they follow a tailored curriculum to meet the needs and development of each student.

The schools strive to meet the diverse and individual needs of its pupils who have special education needs and disabilities. Our schools cater for students aged between 4 -19 years of age; due to the needs of the students our schools like to encourage independence and life skills whilst maintaining a key focus on learning.

It is fundamental that any candidate considering this position has prior experience working with students with special educational needs. You will need to demonstrate an enthusiastic and caring attitude to work as you will be required to work in small groups or 1-1 with students.

The school are looking for individuals that are:

• Experienced working with children with physical disabilities, severe learning disabilities and visual/hearing disabilities

As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00
