An outstanding academy located in the London borough of Lambeth is looking for people who are passionate about improving the lives of young people who have special education needs and learning difficulties. This school has a strong ethos on developing young minds for their future. Pupils within the school have been removed from a mainstream school environment as they require extra support academically as well as socially and emotionally. Part of your role will include supporting the teacher with a variety of teaching methods to suit each pupils' different learning styles.


Responsibilities:

• Managing pupil's behaviour.
• Ensuring students engage with lessons, providing academic support and working under the instruction of the class teacher.
• Helping the students during therapeutic sessions.

For this role, you will have:

• Experience working in a specialist schools such as SEN schools or in mainstream schools.
• Strong behaviour management and confident with challenging behaviour.
• An enthusiastic and friendly, yet firm approach.
