Job description
Psychology Teacher, September 2017

I am recruiting for an enthusiastic and passionate teacher to teach key stage 3 and 4 Psychology, My client secondary school based in Walthamstow who have a strong commitment to nurturing the individual, as well as promoting excellent academic outcomes. Our standards are high and maintained through excellent teaching, positive relationships and a culture of aspiration. They are a small school, with only four forms of entry, but this allows us to truly pursue excellence whilst knowing and caring for each individual in our community.

You will be teaching key stage 3 and 4 Psychology, If you are able to teach key stage 5 that will be advantageous.

The executive principal and his senior leaders have established very high expectations of staff and for all pupils in the school. Most of the staff are determined to make the school the best it can be. The school will require you to have strong subject knowledge and experience working with children of all ranges of age, race and sex. You will be required to be dedicated to improving students knowledge of Psychology and raising attainment levels, utilising your teaching techniques.

With excellent knowledge of Psychology, you may be required to run intervention sessions for those students that need additional support with Psychology and may also attend school trips. Having visited the school myself I can confirm that staff are polite and the school is consistently improving.
